Every year, Japanese commercial breweries produce special seasonal beer. It is nice, and many are produced for a specific region of Japan. For example, Sakura beer comes from the history of Kyushu`s first brewery. Founded in 1912 in Kitakyushu, the first production was in 1913 in and exported to all parts of Japan and Asia.

Construction of the brewery was completed in Moji-ku, Kitakyushu City and is now known as Moji Red Brick Place, where beer culture and history are continuously enjoyed to today.
The factory where Sakura Beer was produced until around 1942 was taken over by Dainippon Breweries, the company’s predecessor, in 1943, and has continued the history of beer production for 87 years until 2000.
The Kitakyushu plant of Sapporo Breweries closed in 2000 and moved to the current Sapporo Breweries Kyushu Hita Plant in Hita City, Oita Prefecture in the same year. The plant is a production base that mainly supplies products to the Kyushu, Kinki, Chugoku and Shikoku regions.
Thankyou everyone, enjoy a Sakura Beer! Cheers
Stuart.
