Helping people who have to say "now what?"
Very pretty. I’m wondering if the island is an extinct volcano?
The mountain on the far middle left appears to have lost it’s top. Could this also be volcanic?

This is on the island of Hokkaido. There are many volcanic mountains here. This is Lake Kussharo in eastern Hokkaido. From what I have heard from the locals is that the mountain on the eastern side, named Mt Kamui, erupted a few hundred years ago which made this landscape. Mt Io is very active and is a nice place to see and hear the sulphur streams.
